About
Girls of Grace started as a six-week Bible study in 2012 at Grace Community Church with 14 women in attendance. Before the six weeks had completed, 7 of the 14 had trusted in Jesus as their Personal Lord & Savior and needed discipleship. Therefore, the group was committed to weekly Bible study and fellowship as they grew together in Christ. By 2015 the group had increased to over 100 attendees and moved to Timberline Encampment to handle this growth. At that point the Girls of Grace became a community Bible study with 17 churches represented. Currently we are meeting at LifeSource Community Church, 1601 South Main St. in Lindale with 195 active members and now representing over 25 churches. Each and every year since our inception we have had on average 8 Professions of Faith with those ladies following in Believers Baptism. We believe we are called to be Fully Devoted Disciples who make Disciples for the Glory of God, so we have on going “One on One” Discipleship programs to encourage one another to continue spiritual growth. Our Mission Statement is “Reaching and Equipping Women for Christ.”
We are delighted to share that in 2021 we added a Children’s Program called Kids Club to come alongside our Girls of Grace Moms as they strive to bring up young Disciples for Christ.
We have developed an active partnership with Heart & Hands of East Texas, a Christian Women Job Corps Site as a means to further our Spiritual Calling of equipping women for Christ. This strong partnership has resulted in several members of Girls of Grace serving on the Board of Directors while many others serve as teachers, volunteers, Kitchen Angels, and through their Mentorship called Heart Friends.
Each summer we conduct Prayer Walks in our local schools and we seek to serve our community in many ways as God presents these needs to us.
Girls of Grace is for all ages and we welcome and are excited to serve in Jesus Name.
