Salvation Through Jesus Christ

Salvation is all about the grace of God. There is absolutely nothing you can do to save yourself or earn God's favor. By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8 and 9). Salvation comes through the grace of God as we place our faith in Jesus, His Son. Jesus says we need to repent. This implies that we all need to turn from the way we are currently thinking and living. Romans 3:23 explains that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Meaning there is NOTHING we can do to reach up to God by good works. It took God reaching down to us through Jesus Christ. Because we are born in sin (separated from God) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) it took Jesus, the Son, coming in human form to pay the price for our sins so we could be reunited to the Father. God shows His love for us in while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Salvation comes through the grace of God as we place our faith in Jesus as Lord of Life.
