"The Lord is my light and my salvation—Whom (or what) shall I fear?
The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life—Whom (or what) shall I dread"
(Ps. 27:1, Amp).
"When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise even in this I am confident" (Ps. 27: 2-3, Amp). In verse two of the twenty-seventh Psalm, we need to realize that adversaries/enemies can show themselves as: worry, doubt, fear, disbelief, regret, guilt, depression, anxiety.... There will be attacks on you and your position in Christ. So, I encourage you to claim verse one of Psalm 27 and hold tightly to your crown.
If you have a daughter, you know firsthand, the blessing they are, a true blessing from the Lord. But wait, you too are one of those blessings. You are a daughter of the King; you have been adopted by God and given a whole new identity in Christ. Your are a child of God, a princess; the daughter of the King of kings!
"And I will be a Father to you, And you will be My sons and daughters,” Says the Lord Almighty." (2 Cor. 6:18)
You are a daughter of the King. Who is not moved by the world. For your God is within you and goes before you. Do not fear because you are His. You have elevated status as a godly woman knowing who you are in Christ, prepared and equipped to do life God's way. Be ready and alert to beat the enemy at his own schemes. If we are truly Christians, and we know Jesus saved us from our sins and gave us eternal life through His shed blood, then we should be a bright, shining light of Him and His glory. (This is how our crowns shine).
"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (I Pet. 2:9 Amp).
This is not a fairytale, we truly are His daughters. We have been made clean by the blood of Jesus! We've been purified - we have been made new within. Our renewed hearts are now shimmering and radiant. Jesus has given us pure worth based upon who He is in our lives. Don't fret about finding yourself, as the world would convince you, lose yourself in Someone bigger than yourself - JESUS. Think about whose you are. He paid the ultimate price to make us glorious within. (This really makes our crowns glow).
We can view ourselves as Christ sees us. Stop looking in the wrong mirror. Assess yourself in God's mirror, the Bible. His mirror, His word, His truth shows us who we really are. "But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit" (2 Cor 3:18, NASB). Reflect Him and see your true beauty. Beauty from the inside out. Inner beauty will flow to the outside and radiate how you truly are - radiant.
"Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised" (Prov. 30:30).
You have everything you need to shine and over come the enemies of your crown. You have this crown because you are His. You possess the power of prayer, you have the armor of God to protect you, you have His very Spirit within you. You also have a heavenly home unlike any mansion you can ever imagine. Represent Him well and all He has done for you. Straighten your crown, focus above, walk confidently in Him and shine to reflect His glory. Live like a daughter of King Jesus!
Thank you, Father, for adopting us as Your own. We love and honor You. Help us to remain strong and focused when the enemy attacks and threatens to steal our crowns. Thank You that we possess the power to shine and glorify You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
