"Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment"
(Matt. 9:22, NIV).
When I think about first responders, I think about them with utmost respect. They literally put their own lives on the line to help and possibly save others. They must have knowledge, sharp instinct, and compassion to help in order to act quickly during a myriad of emergencies they encounter. When I hear a siren of any kind, I always stop and pray for the first responders and the victims as they rush to serve. I know others that do the same thing. Many of you have personal experiences with emergencies and have relied upon first responders to intervene with needed help.
May I ask if you have ever encountered and experienced the One True First Responder, Jesus Christ? If so, know in your heart these things: Jesus sees you; He will walk beside you; He hears you; He teaches you; He leads you; He truly loves you; He heals you. When you pray, He responds. When you seek Him, He responds. If you take a look back at all that you have prayed over, you will see His response. When you cry out, He will respond. Feel His presence when you are alone. He is your Navigator as you navigate through any season in your life. He truly is the1st Responder! He is always on the scene, He is never off duty! He was the first on the scene at the cross where He died for our sin; He intervened to save us!
"For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost” (Luke 19:10, NLT).
This ultimate First Responder came to seek and save the lost, that is all of us. Now respond to Him to be saved!
Therefore, our response should always be to consult Jesus first and foremost in every circumstance or in every decision we make. If you have not asked Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of your life, what are you waiting for? The First Responder is waiting with open arms for you to respond to Him today!
Father, thank you for Jesus, the One True First Responder. You sent Your Son to save us, the lost and we praise You, Father, and we honor You Jesus! We are saved, secure, and safe in the arms of our Savior. In His Name, Amen.
