"But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life" (Jude 20-21, NIV).
Who are your best friends? Friends can be a true blessing or in some cases, they can actually be a curse. Let's take a close look at who your friends are. Are feelings of hopelessness, worry, sadness, or despair your best friends at the moment? Well, if this is you, you are keeping the wrong company! These kinds of friends will rob you of your joy and happiness. Do something about these so-called friends today! Resign from this hopeless crew. Declare that you are not going to let any negativity from thoughts or even other people penetrate your heart. If you don't take action today, they are going to rob you of your faith! If you give into these fair-weather friends, you will spiral downward. There is also a famous "trio of faith robbers" that you should also avoid: the Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda sisters. These friends keep you dwelling on your past mistakes, detain you there, and will make you completely miserable destroying your faith.
In the parable of the Sower in Matthew chapter 13, Jesus warns that worry is a big robber of faith Be warned: The more you worry, the weaker your faith will be. On the other hand, the greater your faith in God, the more you trust in Him. His shoulders are broad enough to carry the cares of this entire world and to provide for everyone's needs. Know that He will carry yours as well. God gave up His Son to die for you, so why would He not care about every small detail of your life? Now that is true friendship to be loved so dearly! Believe it today, Jesus loves you and is your very best friend! He loved you so much, He died for you. Wow! No other friend will you ever have.
"I do not call you servants any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you [My] friends, because I have revealed to you everything that I have heard from My Father" (John 15:15, Amp).
Father God, we praise You for our best Friend, Jesus! May we drop every thought or person from our lives that may hinder us from strengthening our faith in You. Perfect our faith, Father. We love and honor You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
