"You made my whole being; You formed me in my mother’s body. I praise You because You made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What You have done is wonderful. I know this very well. You saw my bones being formed as I took shape in my mother’s body. When I was put together there, You saw my body as it was formed. All the days planned for me were written in Your book before I was one day old. God, Your thoughts are precious to me, they are so many!" (Ps. 139:13-17, NCV)
I had a friend once tell me that she always reads the end of a book first just to see how it would end. She would then read from the beginning to learn the details of the storyline. She could not stand the suspense of reading through each chapter of the book to get to the end. She had to know how it would end first. I asked her not to spoil it for me, since I was going to read the same book starting at the beginning.
Do we at times try to get to the end of our circumstances without walking through them step by step or chapter by chapter with Jesus? Spoiler alert - God already knows! He has seen it from the ending to the beginning. Nothing surprises God; He is never in suspense about what will happen next or the outcome of our circumstances.
The phrase "He knows" is found over 100 times throughout the Bible in both the old and new testaments. A Prominent example is found within the139th Psalm. I encourage you to spend some time in this Psalm, you will be amazed at how special you are to God. Numerous times in the Bible we can be assured that God, in His omniscience, has an understanding of each and every individual He created. God already knows our thoughts, our words, our actions, and the motives of our hearts. He knows what we are walking through, He is there and will continue to be there until the end.
He knows you; He loves you; He cares about every detail of your life. Be assured and know that He knows! Take comfort in these facts and walk beside Him today with confidence and joy. He will never leave you from the beginning until the end.
"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the One to whom we are accountable" (Heb. 4:13, NLT).
Our Heavenly Father, we worship You and praise You. We adore You and express our gratitude unto You for creating us as You wanted us to be. Lord, may we rest in the comfort that You know us better than we know ourselves and may we trust that You know what is best for us, as Your children. May we keep in mind that You know everything from the beginning to the end. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
