"I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12, Amp).
Have you ever admired the beauty of stained glass, the way light captures the colors as you admire the patterns that make the entire pane a work of art? The artesian has carefully placed each piece of the colored glass in just the right place to reflect and refract light to produce the beauty of the intricate designs that interact with light.
I envision my soul to be much like a stained-glass window reflecting all my favorite colors as they interact with the Light. These colored patterns in the panes of my soul, reflect the light of Jesus. The bright, colorful light shining brings glory to God and joy to those around me. Without the source of light, the colors and patterns fade, and beauty cannot be reflected or seen.
Our light in this darkening world should be shining brightly with Christ for all to see. Being the vessels for the Light of Christ is our mission to show others and lead them to the one true Light Source. Allow Him to illuminate your soul and bless you through His word as you study, spend time with Him, and build your personal relationship with Him.
Glow for Jesus in this dark and unstable world. Let the Light of Christ shine in your life so others can see His reflection in you. The Lord is the Light that should shine within you at all times. Let it shine! Your beautiful soul will illuminate and cause others to be drawn to the one, true Source of Light!
"I arise and shine because my Light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon me."
-Patricia King
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matt.5:14-16, NIV).
"This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection]" (1John 1:5, amp).
Father, God, we adore You. We praise You for shedding Your Light upon our lives. Thank You for the privilege to reflect the beauty of Jesus in our lives for others to see. May we continue to shine brightly for You. In Christ, Amen.
