Miracle Child

"You are the God who performs miracles; You display your power among the peoples" (Ps. 77:14, NIV).

We all hear the term miracle and ponder about what miracles may look like in our lives. Some have seen miracles in their lives or in the lives of others around them. Here are some synonyms for the word miracle: wonder, marvel, phenomenon, astonishing feat, or amazing achievement. One such miracle I have witnessed personally, is the miracle of the my best friend's grandson, Luke. As a mere baby he contracted a simple cold virus that attacked and destroyed his heart. After much prayer, and the miraculous power of our Almighty God, this child, with a rare blood type, received a heart transplant and is healthy and thriving today. I am still in awe of this miracle child.

In the Bible there is the most beautiful story of The Miracle Child , Jesus, that His Father, God sent to be the Savior of the world. As His story unfolds, we see the miracles that He performed throughout the New Testament. His living, breathing miracles He performed to reveal who He was and the life-saving power He possessed. His birth, His life on earth, His death, His burial, His resurrection, and His ascension are all living proof of His miraculous life.

Because of Jesus, you too are a miracle child. Your very conception, birth, and life are truly a miracle in itself. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb" (Ps. 139:13, NIV). Jesus died so that you may become a child of God. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are indeed a miracle child! If not, what are you waiting for? Receive your miracle of life with Christ, accept Him as your savior, repent of your sins, walk with Him. You too can be like little Luke and receive your new miracle heart - a heart for Jesus to reside in. Being a miracle child is what God has designed you to be. You are His creation - His miracle!

Father, God, we praise You for the miracle of our very breath you breathed into our lungs. You are truly a God of miracles. Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for saving us through the miracle of Jesus Christ! We honor You today, Lord, as our Father. We love You. In our precious, miracle Jesus Christ we honor You in prayer in His name, Amen.
