Moving Day!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, the old has gone, the new is here" (2 Cor. 5:17, NIV).
It takes hours, days, weeks, and even months of preparation for moving from one home to another. There is the packing up of one's belongings, taping, and labeling of boxes, cleaning up and out. Whew! Then there is the actual moving day of one's stuff from the old place to the new place.
Then the work begins in unpacking, setting up, settling in, and establishing your new home; the "nesting" of creating a new, comfy home to enjoy. Even though this earthly home is temporary, it is a blessing, a true provision from the Lord.
After recently experiencing a move, it got me to thinking - how much time do we spend in preparation for our heavenly home, our new home, our final destination? What are we doing to actually prepare? What are we packing and unpacking in our lives to be fully prepared? Are we cleansing our minds, unpacking the Word of God to establish its residency in our hearts? What are we clearing out and rearranging to be pure in heart to receive our heavenly abode with Christ? Are we praising, worshipping and truly serving God? Do we seek Him daily?
I encourage you to look up with humble regard and obedience to the One true "Landlord" or "Mortgager" of our heavenly home that He has so lovingly prepared.
"Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]." (Prov. 16:3, Amp.) Get ready, get prepared to move forward and upward with the Lord God Almighty. He will show you His plan for you and your ultimate life with Him in heaven. The Bible gives you step-by-step instructions on how to move. It also instructs you to live a God-pleasing life along the way. Continue in faith - get moving! Allow God to work on changing your eternal address. Moving day, your new address, is just ahead of you!
"Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]." (Heb. 11:1, Amp)
"And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose" (Rom. 8:28, Amp).
Father God, we praise you as we move forward in the direction of our heavenly home that You so graciously prepared for us. Thank You, Father, for the truth of Your word that points us toward our final destination with You. Help us to have willing hearts to move forward in preparation. We love and honor You Father and we thank You for Your provision. In Jesus' name, Amen.
