P*R*A*I*S*E

As I was spending time with a new friend recently, I began to notice a uniqueness about her. She amazed me at how she continually sent up praises to God. She gave God thanks and praises for all things, even the smallest of things in her life. She continued to praise as things happened throughout our time together. Soon I began to feel more joyful in my spirit feeling the conviction that I, too, should be more grateful and full of praises to our Lord for all things. A scripture, buried in my heart, surfaced from Psalm 119:164 "Seven times a day I will praise You." This prompted me to set the alarms on my phone that day for seven different times to be intentional to stop and praise the Lord. I encourage you to praise the Lord throughout your day in all things both big and small. It will change the course of your day, and you will feel energized. There is no way to praise the Lord throughout your day and not end up having an amazingly blessed day. We were created to worship and praise. (Eph. 1:5-6, 12) Praise and worship go together kind of like peanut butter and jelly.

Father, I just want to praise You and say thank You. I don't want to just give You my list of prayer requests, but just to just honor You with the praise and glory You deserve. I love and adore You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
