Puzzle Solutions - Search the Word

Updated: Jul 26, 2024

Sometimes it's entertaining to sit back and solve puzzles once in a while. Whether it's a jigsaw, word search, or crossword by nature, some puzzles can be quite puzzling. I have discovered that there are helpful hints or even so-called cheat sheets to aid in solving such puzzles. Do you ever find yourself searching to solve life's puzzles that come your way? If you're like me, puzzling circumstances seem to come my way quite often leaving me to figure out the solutions. These times leave me recalling certain scriptures.  "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from..." (Jer. 29:13-14a, NKJV). I go to God's word for my hints and possible solutions.

If you are searching right now, in whatever puzzle life is throwing at you, how will you find solutions? How will you know truth? How will you know what awaits you? The Bible is the most wonderful and actually the only real puzzle/problem solution resource you could ever reach for. It is full of God's reassuring word and His faithful promises.

" In Him also we have received an inheritance [a destiny—we were claimed by God as His own], having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him as our Lord and Savior] would exist to the praise of His glory. In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God]. (Eph. 1:11-13, Amp.)

You don't need to wait around searching here and there for your solutions, search the Word and see all that God has blessed you with. Receive the spiritual blessings He has for you. The Amplified Bible defines 'blessed' as: happy, spiritually prosperous, and favored by God. With that in mind, let us take a look at some of what God's Word has to say: "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Cor.9:8, NIV).

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord:" (Jer. 17:7, ESV).

"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"

(Phil. 4:19, ESV).

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you" (Num. 6:24-25, NLT). There are so many more amazing scriptures that will lighten your load and bring you hope and peace.

Be encouraged to get into God's word today; you will be blessed mentally and most certainly spiritually! Take time to allow God to speak truth into your life so that you may solve life's puzzles and feel refreshed. After all, Jesus faced many trials and unpleasantries. If we look at our situation and then compare it to what Jesus endured, our puzzles don't look quite so puzzling at all. "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart" (Heb. 12:2-3, NIV).

Father, God. Thank You for your Word that is an active and living source for all of the puzzling situations we may walk through on this earth. Thank You for Jesus, our example to live by. We praise You for being our One and only true Source for everything! Be honored today, Father, as we seek Your Word and grow more intimate with You. In Jesus' beloved name, Amen.
