“I will follow You wherever You go” (Luke 9:57).

"Let me know Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths" (Ps.25:4).
Today, according to social media platforms, there are people who have figured out how to make a living and to gain huge followings by being an "influencer". This is based on how many followers, tags, or likes they receive for whatever they may be promoting. They can build relationships, influence and direct the actions of others, and even shape the culture of their followers. So, what are they actually influencing audiences about? What causes others to follow them all over social media? Why are the followers liking, supporting, and tagging others to join in? What is it about the influencers that mesmerize their audiences to be obsessed with constantly being on their phones to see what's next? Some social media influencers are hyper focused on how many followers they have and are constantly gathering more at incredible rates. They have established causes for their particular platforms, created brands, built websites, and even designed t-shirts to promote their causes or products. Some of these have exploded in only 24 hours time!
Wait! Hold the like button! What are people following? Why are we, as God's chosen people, not being spiritual influencers? What are we spending our time following, watching, sharing, and influencing others with? May we stop and reflect upon what we share, tag, or like that may be influencing others. Are we manifesting God's presence within us as we influence others? Are we acting according to Christ's character?
We should indeed be influencers that are inspired by the Spirit of the Lord not that of the culture! We should be influencing others by being the light of Jesus to everyone who crosses our path in person or online. We should carry hope, mercy, servanthood, purity, and integrity into every place we go. We should be so careful to remember that most people tend to be followers. Are we influencing others to follow Jesus by what they see and hear in us? Can they see Christ in us so they may be drawn to follow Him?
"I will imprint My laws upon their minds [even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding],
and engrave them upon their hearts [effecting their regeneration]. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people" (Heb. 8:10 b, Amp).
May God's word be written in your heart and the Spirit so focused in your mind, that being a witness or spiritual influencer becomes what you do naturally. Carry the presence of the Almighty God into every situation you encounter. Change lives as His Spirit within you prompts. Be a spiritual influencer for others to follow that leads them to Jesus. Create a spiritual platform for God. Seek the welfare of others. Demonstrate His character. Go on and like, tag, and share the love of Jesus! Become a spiritual influencer for Christ!
"Do not look out only for yourselves. Look out for the good of others also" (I Cor. 10:24, NCV).
Father God Almighty, May we have Your laws, Your will, and Your ways thoroughly written into our hearts. May we be guided by You to be Your spiritual influencers to others we come in contact with. May we honor You, Lord, by what we are sharing and influencing others with. May others come to know You, love You, and to serve You because of our spiritual influences. Forgive us when we are not influencing others in Your ways and for being self-seeking. We love and honor You, Father. In Christ's Holy Name, Amen.
