If you have ever experienced some kind of tragedy or unpleasant circumstance in your life, then you've more than likely asked God why. Do you realize God hears and uses your "whys" to strengthen you and bring you His Peace.
When you cry out to the Father, you are speaking the burdens of your heart and presenting Him with the genuineness of your raw emotions. Your sincere prayer shows you are facing your apprehensions and opening yourself up for spiritual growth, insight, and maturity. The more you get in HIs Word, soak in it, and listen for His answer, you will then be able to discern where He would have you go from there. His unsurpassable peace, based on your full surrender, is His loving answer to your "why".
Psalm 31: 14-15 (NRSV) "I trust in You, O Lord; 'You are my God'. My times are in Your hand."
Father God, when I don't understand my situation and my strength fails, give me an immediate willingness to rely solely on Your will and find peace in surrendering to You, Your wisdom, and Your holiness. Thank You for Your Word that brings forth comfort and insight. Forgive my nagging of the whys when I know in my heart that You are working in my life, and I can faithfully trust in You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
