True Thanksgiving!

"O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His compassion and lovingkindness endure forever" (Ps. 107:1, Amp).

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, we tend to reflect about what we are thankful for; Some even count their many blessings and share them with others. But what holds us back on being truly thankful each and every day? Could we possibly develop an 'attitude of gratitude' by thanking our heavenly Father on a daily basis for all He has done for us?
As true children of God, let's take a look at some things we should be thankful and grateful for, and see how truly blessed we are.
God says we are:
His child (John 1:12).
Christ's friend (John 15:15).
We have been justified (Rom. 5:1).
We are united with the Lord and one in Spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).
We belong to God (1Cor. 6:19-20).
We are members of Christ's body (1 Cor. 12:27).
We are saints, holy ones (Eph. 1:1).
We have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit (Eph. 2:18).
We have been redeemed and forgiven of all our sins (Col. 1:14).
We are complete in Christ (Col. 2:10).
We are free (Rom. 8:1-2).
We are assured that all things work together for our good (Rom. 8:28).
We cannot be separated from the love of God (Rom. 8:35-39).
We are established, anointed, and sealed by God (2 Cor. 1:21-22).
God's good work He begun in us will be perfected in us (Phil. 1:6).
We are citizens of heaven (Phil. 3:20).
We have been given a sound mind (2 Tim.1:7).
We can find grace and mercy to help in time of need (Heb. 4:16).
We are born of God and the evil one cannot touch us (1 John 5:18).
We are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Eph. 2:6).
This, my friends, is just a partial list of all that our heavenly Father has blessed us with as His children. May we all be habitually intentional in thanking Him on a daily basis, not just during a season of thanksgiving. You may approach God with freedom and confidence (Eph 3:12) each day. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phil. 4:13). What are you waiting for? Go ahead and get your list of true Thanksgiving started today! Remember how special you are and how truly loved you really are!
Father, we praise You. We truly are blessed by You and for all You have done for us as Your children. May we establish a heart of gratitude towards You, Father. The depth of Your love for us is unfathomable. The blessings we have from You are immeasurable. Thank You, Father God! Thank You especially for Jesus Christ that makes all of our blessings possible. In His Name we pray, Amen.
