Warrior or Worrier?

Ask yourself these questions: Am I a warrior or a worrier? Have I ever even thought of that concept before? Which best describes me and my character? How much time do I actually spend worrying about things? Does worrying actually change my circumstances?
Enough with the questioning; if you're like me, I have been guilty of worrying. I once read that worry is a lack of faith, well that can lead to mistrust. Worry is like an enemy that keeps us in prison and prevents us from stepping out in faith. Profoundly, just this week at work, my colleague stated something that absolutely brought me to my knees. He said that worrying is disrespectful to God! As I pondered this statement, I repented asking God to forgive my disrespect, my mistrust, and my lack of faith. What did I really have to worry or fret about? I didn't want to stay in a rut of worry. Worrying doesn't change anything anyway.
You see, sisters, our God is much bigger than our worries. He already knows it all, so all we have to do is trust Him. Move forward in faith; step forward and your faith with increase. Instead of wasting time worrying, give those worries to God. Then suit up with the armor of God, pursue being a warrior, and watch what God will do. Worrying is not of God, it is a tactic used by the enemy to distract you while in battle.
Believe the God who made you can equip you for the road ahead, even if it is an unpleasant road. Secure your armor and 'warrior on' against the enemy and his schemes. Change your mind, your heart, and your title...worrier to WARRIOR. In the Bible there are many examples of others that may have started out as worriers, but became warriors. Take courage, you can too.
(Scripture references: Eph. 6:10-18 and Phil. 4: 6-7)
Father, I pray that I will equip myself with Your armor and resist worrying. Your Word says to be anxious for nothing. I praise You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank you for Your provisions to be able to stay strong and courageous. Thank You for Your everlasting love and for Jesus. In His Name, Amen.
